Dr. Dave Caldwell

Dr. Dave brings over a decade of experience in small animal medicine and a lifelong passion for animal care to the FurWell team. A proud graduate of the University of Tennessee, Dr. Dave earned his Bachelor's degree in Animal Science in 2004, followed by a Master's in 2007, and ultimately his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2011.

For 10 years, Dr. Dave practiced small animal medicine in Georgia, developing a reputation for his thoughtful, thorough approach and his strong relationships with pet parents and their pets. In 2024, he and his wife Molly moved to the Landrum area to be closer to family and enjoy the vibrant equestrian community. They share their lives with 4 horses, 4 dogs, and 3 cats, making their home a true animal haven.

Dr. Dave was raised on a small farm in Waynesville, North Carolina, and that early experience continues to inspire his deep commitment to both animals and the people who love them. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys hiking, camping, horseback riding, and spending time with his animals.
